The appointment of acting Director General of VNNIOSH

Mr. Nguyen Dinh Khang, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Party Union, President of VGCL awards the Decision to receive and assign acting Director General of VNNIOSH to Mr. Nguyen Anh Tho

At the ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Dinh Khang handed Decision No. 3152/QĐ-TLĐ of VGCL Presidium to receive, appoint Deputy Director General and assign acting Director General of VNNIOSH to Mr. Nguyen Anh Tho, Deputy Director of Department of Work Safety, Ministry of Labour-Invalids and Social Affairs. The term for the appointment of Deputy Director General is 5 years, from September 1, 2021; the term for the assignment of acting Director General is from September 1, 2021 until the title of VNNIOSH Director General is completed.

Mr. Nguyen Dinh Khang assessed that Mr. Nguyen Anh Tho is an enthusiastic and responsible officer with the ability to lead, manage and administer; he has extensive experience in state management in the field of occupational safety and health; he also has research thinking, actively advices, proposes and directly participates in developing policies, legal documents, national technical regulations on occupational safety, etc.

President of VGCL suggested Mr. Nguyen Anh Tho promote his forte so that together with the leaders and staff of VNNIOSH exploit the full potential to contribute and recommend to the State policies to ensure safe conditions in production for workers.

Addressing his acceptance of the task, Mr. Nguyen Anh Tho thanked the trust of the President of VGCL and the comrades in the Presidium. He promised to promote the solidarity and 50-year tradition of VNNIOSH and together with the leaders and staff of the Institute build a united scientific organization, creative and effective in order to contribute to the process of researching, formulating policies and applying scientific and technological solutions for socio-economic development in general and building a solid Vietnamese trade union and a modern and strong Vietnamese working class to meet the requirements of the new situation.

Decision on resignation from management position and extension of working time

Also in the morning of September 1, 2021, the Presidium of VGCL announced decision on resignation of management position and extension working time when reaching the retirement age, according to Article 9, Decree 40 of the Government for Mr. Do Tran Hai, Director General of VNNIOSH; the extension of working time is no longer than 7 year from September 1, 2021.

Mr. Nguyen Dinh Khang expressed his wish in the coming time with his skills and expertise Mr. Do Tran Hai continue to promote and help the leadership of VNNIOSH and its staff, contribute to the development of the Institute and the growth of trade unions.
